Why PSG Want Messi, Sergio Ramos To Leave

Paris Saint-Germain are considering whether to let Lionel Messi leave for free this summer, according to L’Equipe.

Messi has been in fine form this campaign, scoring 18 goals in 32 appearances.

But PSG were hit by Financial Fair Play (FFP) sanctions in September and were fined £8.6 million, with a further £56.3 million dependent on future compliance.

The Ligue 1 champions are now keen to cut costs to avoid more punishment.

Messi earns £740,000 a week, and team-mate Sergio Ramos, 37, is also on a significant wage.

PSG are considering letting them both leave at the end of their contracts.
