1. Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR from Isuofia in Aguata local government, born 28 July 1960, is a renowned economics professor and a former governor and chairman of the board of directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Chukwuma was named governor on 29 May 2004 to 29 May 2009, he is also a member of the British Department for International Development’s International Advisory Group,
Soludo has been a visiting scholar at the International Monetary Fund, the University of Cambridge, the Brookings Institution, the University of Warwick, and the University of Oxford as well as a visiting professor at Swarthmore College (USA). He has also worked as a consultant for a number of international organisations, including The World Bank, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and the United Nations Development Programme. Soludo is a core professional in the business of macroeconomics.
He obtained his three degrees and then professorship at the University of Nigeria in Nsukka, Enugu State. Soludo graduated with a First Class Honours degree in 1984, an MSc Economics in 1987, and a PhD in 1989, winning prizes for the best student at all three levels.
Chukwuma has been trained and involved in research, teaching, and auditing in such disciplines as multi-country macro-econometric modelling, techniques of computable general equilibrium modelling, survey methodology, and panel data econometrics, among others. He studied and taught these courses at many universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, and Warwick. Soludo has co-authored, co-edited, and authored a number of books on this subject matter.
In 1998, Soludo was appointed to the position of professor of economics at the University of Nigeria; the next year he became a visiting professor at Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA.
Government
Soludo joined the federal government in 2003. Prior to his May 2004 appointment to the bank chairmanship, he held the positions of Chief Economic Adviser to former President Obasanjo and Chief Executive of the National Planning Commission of Nigeria. In January 2008, in a speech to the Nigerian Economic Society, he predicted consolidation in the private banking industry, saying “By the end of 2008, there will be fewer banks than there are today. The restructuring of the banking industry has been attracting funds from local and foreign investors, which have increased banks’ ability to lend to customers”.
Chukwuma hopes to see Nigeria become Africa’s financial hub considers microfinance important to the federal government’s economic policies.

2, Dr Godwin Maduka (born 1959), is a Nigerian-American doctor, businessman and philanthropist. He is the founder of Las Vegas Pain Institute and Medical Center . In 2008, he played a major role in the renaming of his hometown, from Nkerehi to Umuchukwu.

He furthered to Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for his post-graduate training and residency in anesthesiology, critical care, and pain management, graduating in 1997
after his education, Maduka moved to Las Vegas and got a job where he was paid $8,000 as an advance payment. He worked as an anesthesiologist at Desert Spring United Methodist Church, Nevada and other hospitals, before starting his own practice at Red Rock Medical Group, Nevada. In 1999, he founded Las Vegas Pain Institute and Medical Center, before expanding to other six locations in Southern Nevada.
He is a clinical faculty supervisor and adjunct professor of pain management and anesthesiology at Touro University Nevada. He is also a clinical assistant professor of surgery at UNLV School of Medicine.
Dr Maduka singlehandedly transformed his town to mini city, no doubt if the rich doctor win he will provide more infastructures but to manage the state economy at this critical time oil money is shrinking, being a novice in Nigeria political space will be a big huddle for Dr Maduka .
3, Valentine Chineto “Val” Ozigbo (born July 20, 1970) is a business executive. He is the immediate past President and Chief Executive Officer of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria plc (Transcorp), a diversified conglomerate with strategic investments and core interests in the hospitality, agribusiness and energy sectors He was appointed to the position in 2019.
Previously, Ozigbo worked as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria-based hospitality company, Transcorp Hotels Plc. Transcorp Hotels is the hospitality subsidiary of Nigerian conglomerate Transcorp. He also worked in the banking sector, gaining over 17 years of experience with NAL Merchant Bank, Diamond Bank, Continental Trust Bank, FSB International Bank, Standard Trust Bank, United Bank for Africa and Bank PHB.
He studied Accounting at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka graduating with the class of 1994 with the best result in both Accounting and Business Administration.
He obtained his MBA in Banking and Finance from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2000 and an MSc in finance with distinction from the Lancaster University, United Kingdom in 2004.
Ozigbo has professional qualifications in accounting (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) which he obtained in 1998, Taxation (The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria) gotten in 2000 and Credit Administration (Institute of Credit Administration) which he bagged in 2015. He is a fellow of all these three institutions.

6, Paul Orajiaka was born in Onitsha, Nigeria, and spent his childhood in the city of Warri in Delta State in Southern Nigeria. His father was a businessman and owned a craft shop in Warri named M-Orajis Craft Center. He learnt craftsmanship and woodworking at his father’s store at an early age. In the 1980’s, he crafted and sold wood carvings to expatriates who came to Nigeria and wanted souvenirs on their way back. Orajiaka got his secondary school education from Igbinedion Secondary School in Benin City. After completing secondary education, he filed a visa application to study at the Fort Valley State University in USA which was rejected. After this, he moved to Lagos to stay with and work for his brother-in-law and got enrolled in an accounting degree at the University of Lagos. After completing his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Lagos, he enrolled in and completed his master’s in business administration from the Lagos Business School, Pan Atlantic University in 2011. He pursued his doctorate in Business Administration from the Henley Business School, University of Reading in the UK and has also completed a master’s in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in the US. Orajiaka worked for his brother-in-law, who was an importer, after moving to Lagos to complete his education. He started doing business as a teenager when he bought toys and supplied them to supermarkets in Lagos. As his business grew, he went to Dubai to supply toys back to his home country. While studying at the University of Lagos, he set up Auldon Toys (now Auldon Group) with an initial investment of less than $100. [/b]The company got the status of a limited liability firm in 2002 and currently employs more than 400 direct and indirect employees. It now has an annual turnover in excess of $10 million and has its operations spread in countries including South Africa, Ghana, Kenya alongside some parts of Europe. He created the Unity Dolls, which are toys that teach Africa’s cultural heritage to children. The dolls represent the major tribes in Nigeria — Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba.
