Adamawa State Governor Leads Peace Mission To Bauchi With JIBWIS, Islamic Clerics

In an effort to promote religious tolerance and ensure peace and peaceful co-existence among the people of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed hosted the National leadership of Jama’atul Izalatul Bid’a Wa’ikatissunna (JIBWIS) on Friday.

The delegation was led by Sheik Dr Bala Lau, along with the National Secretary, Dr Kabir Gombe, and the Governor of Adamawa State, Umar Ahmed Fintiri.

 

During the meeting, the discussion centred on the case of the Bauchi-based Islamic scholar, Sheik Dr Idris Abdulaziz Dutsen Tanshi, and Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed assured that there would be an amicable resolution of the lingering issue.

He further appreciated the followers of the Cleric and the general public for their understanding and support concerning the matter, which has been a critical issue in the state.

 

The Governor emphasized that Bauchi citizens are known for their compliance and respect in matters that bring about development and peaceful coexistence in the State.

 

He also expressed gratitude to the delegation for their visit and concern, assuring that his administration would continue to partner with relevant stakeholders to ensure justice and equity for all.

 

Governor Bala Mohammed acknowledged that religion is a sensitive issue with multidimensional implications and thanked the scholars for giving him and Dr. Idris Abdul’aziz the benefit of doubt.

 

Sheik Dr Bala Lau commended Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for his concern and understanding and assured that as religious leaders, they would continue to support amicable resolutions on issues that affect the Religion.

He urged the Governor to facilitate a lasting solution to the matter for sustainable growth and development, praising him as a true Democrat with a vision for the peaceful coexistence of the Bauchi people.

 

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, also expressed his gratitude and satisfaction during the session, praising Bala Mohammed for his work in building religion and national services.

 

He called on the people to continue supporting him in developing the state and mentioned that they were at the Government House to discuss and find a lasting solution to the lingering case against the Bauchi-based scholar, which has attracted reactions from across the country.
