We’re Working On Nnamdi Kanu’s Release – Governor Alex Otti

GOVERNOR Alex Otti of Abia State has said President Bola Tinubu’s administration is not responsible for the incarceration of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Otti made the remark while noting that his administration is working hard to ensure Kanu’s release.

He said his administration has deployed “a different approach” to secure Kanu’s release.

The governor disclosed this during a media parley in Umuahia, the state capital.

Otti said the “different approach” would not be made public until it had yielded the desired results.

He pointed out that he has been working underground to secure the IPOB leader’s release despite not revealing his efforts to the media.

“I believe in results rather than media hype. We do not want media noise. We are working very hard to ensure his (Kanu’s) release,” he said.

The governor said the administration of President Bola Tinubu was not responsible for the incarceration of Kanu.

“My personal position is that the new government does not need to inherit the wrong things of the previous administration,” he said.
