Lagosians Groan As Massive Traffic Jams Bring The City To A Halt.

There have been massive traffic jams this morning as Lagosians suffer the effects of multiple road closures in the city.

Two of the three major bridges that connect the Island to the Mainland have been closed this morning. The Third Mainland Bridge is partially closed for repair works, the Eko Bridge has been closed because of the Lagos Women’s Run and this has left Lagosians with the Carter Bridge as the only route to get from the Island to the Mainland.

To make matters worse, several roads on the Mainland have also been closed because of the railway modernisation programme.

The situation is also made worse by the absence of security and traffic officers on many streets in the metropolis since the End SARS riots.

Lagosians have taken to Twitter to complain about what they are suffering this morning.
