Adeleke Summons Osun Security Chiefs Over Rising Cult Killings

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has summoned the heads of security agencies in the state for a meeting following a rise in security breaches, particularly the recent killings linked to rival cult groups.

The governor’s Special Adviser on Security Matters, Samuel Ojo, disclosed this during an interview with The PUNCH, saying the meeting would take place on Wednesday.

According to Ojo, the meeting will focus on finding ways to address the recent killings by suspected cultists and strengthen security across the state.

He said the security chiefs would also examine measures to make forests in Osun safer, following the recent killing of an ISWAP leader in Owo, Ondo State.

Ojo added that the meeting would also address the spate of killings involving rival cult groups in recent weeks.
