Nigerian singer Spyro has opened up about how he met his wife Janet Atom, revealing that their relationship started after they crossed paths at a nightclub.
Newsextra24 reports that the music star in an interview with Esther Feyi explained that they did not meet because she was out having fun. Instead, she was working at the club at the time.
He added that he was not criticizing people who go clubbing, but said her job at the venue was what drew his attention.
According to Spyro, he became interested in knowing why she worked there, which led him to start a conversation with her.
As they continued talking, they built a friendship that grew stronger over time.
The singer said it was during that friendship that he later realized she had all the qualities he had been searching for in a life partner.
He admitted that marriage was not on his mind when they first met, but his feelings changed as he got to know her better.
“I met my partner working in the club, not partying in the club, but that’s not to say that partying is wrong. But she was working there and that’s how I got to notice her. I was curious to know why she was there and why she was working at the club, and that was what made me have my first conversation with her.
We got talking and we became friends. The one day my eyes popped up and I was like ‘Oh what I have been looking for was right in front of me.’ because I wasn’t really thinking of making it a lifetime thing, so I said before I quickly miss it, lemme swing into action…” he said.
