Group commends Tinubu, Akume, urges inclusive development

The Tinubu Young Generation Forum (TYGF) has commended President Bola Tinubu and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. George Akume, for advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The forum urged the government to ensure equitable distribution of development opportunities across the country.

The forum’s National President, Mr Kevin Timothy, made the commendation in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday.

He said Nigeria’s human and natural resources should be harnessed to promote balanced development, expand opportunities and empower young people.

Timothy commended the administration’s economic reforms and efforts to strengthen infrastructure, improve food security, boost agricultural productivity and diversify the economy.

He also acknowledged Akume’s role in coordinating government policies and strengthening institutional collaboration to advance the administration’s development priorities.

Timothy said the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda should be measured by its impact on citizens’ welfare, employment, business productivity and living standards.

“As advocates of progressive leadership, we encourage the government to sustain its commitment to ensuring that the benefits of these reforms translate into tangible improvements in household welfare, employment opportunities, business productivity, and the general standard of living.

“Ultimately, the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda must be reflected in the everyday experiences of ordinary Nigerians,” he said.

He stressed the need for equitable development across the country, noting that every region had economic strengths, natural resources and human potential that could contribute to national prosperity.

Timothy urged federal, state, and local governments to strengthen collaboration and ensure that development initiatives delivered measurable benefits to communities.

He said investments in agriculture, transportation, energy, education, healthcare, housing, digital connectivity and industry were essential to achieving balanced development.

According to him, development should be measured not only by projects commissioned or policies announced but also by jobs created, businesses strengthened, lives improved and communities empowered.
