ExxonMobil’s Nigerian subsidiary deploys deepwater rig for Usan oil project

Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria (Offshore East) Limited, operator of the Usan field in oil mining lease (OML) 138, says its ‘Noble Gerry de Souza’ drillship has arrived in Nigerian waters.

In a statement on Thursday, the company, an ExxonMobil subsidiary, said the arrival marks a major milestone in the execution of the Usan Infill Project and demonstrates its commitment to investing in Nigeria’s deepwater energy sector.
