TO celebrate International Day of the Girl, a global initiative on October 11 that champions the rights of girls around the world, Vancouver-based apparel brands Brunette the Label and Smash+Tess have teamed up to launch a “Who Run The World” Collection of joggers and hoodie for women and crewneck for kids. The collaboration between the two inclusive fashion brands will be available October 11 on BrunettetheLabel.com and SmashTess.com with 20% of net proceeds donated to the non-profit organization, One Girl Can.

The organization’s unique holistic model empowers a girl from the time she leaves primary school until the day she gains meaningful employment.

“Partnering with One Girl Can is very meaningful to me as one of my biggest passions in life is to help with the education and growth of the next generation of women. Especially in our current climate, there’s no better time to support each other. Our Smash + Tess partnership is always so important to me because I feel very connected to working with other like-minded female entrepreneurs and brands. #BabesSupportingBabes” – Miriam Alden, Founder of Brunette the Label

“At Smash + Tess, we strive to create clothing for women of all shapes and sizes with the goal of making people feel included, comfortable and confident in the skin they’re in,” says Smash + Tess CEO and Co-Founder, Ashley Freeborn. She continues, “One Girl Can is making incredible inroads in building up communities and helping to alleviate gender inequality, we are excited to launch this collaboration with Brunette the Label to support such an incredible organization in honour of International Day of the Girl.”
