A top Nollywood movie director, Dimbo Atiya, is dead.
Atiya reportedly died on Thursday morning.
Seun Oloketuyi, the founder of the Best of Nollywood Awards, BON, announced the sad news in an Instagram post on Thursday.
He wrote: “Dimbo Atiya is dead. The top Nollywood director passed on this morning. Details later.”
Also sharing the deceased’s picture on Instagram, actor Mofe Duncan wrote: “God no, not Dimbo. I’m devastated. One of the greatest minds of the entertainment industry.”
Newsextra24 reports that the cause of Dimbo’s death remains unknown as of the time of this report.
The news of his death came hours after the death of actress Tope Osoba.
