THE Bloggers and Vloggers, Content Creators Association (BAVCCA) in Nigeria, expressed its appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for the reappointment of Mallam Mele Kyari as the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) for another four years
In a letter addressed to President Tinubu and signed by the Director, Admin, BAVCCA, Abimbola Adelabu, the Association lauded the decision as a positive development for Nigeria and its citizens. The letter acknowledged Kyari’s extensive experience in the petroleum industry and his commitment to excellence, which has led to strategic partnerships and collaborations on both national and international levels, elevating the oil and gas sector’s status.
The letter expressed the Association’s gratitude for President Tinubu’s astute decision in recognizing Kyari’s exceptional capabilities and accomplishments. It highlighted Kyari’s leadership in achieving significant milestones for the NNPCL, positioning Nigeria as a prominent global player in the energy sector.
Furthermore, the letter commended Kyari’s efforts in spearheading initiatives such as the Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialization Program (NGFCP), which contributed to environmental protection, reduced harmful emissions, and opened new opportunities for investment and growth in the gas sector.
The Association also praised Kyari’s commitment to transparency and accountability within the NNPCL, citing the implementation of the Crude Oil Accounting and Revenue Assurance System (COARAS) as a significant step in minimizing revenue leakage and ensuring proper utilization of oil earnings for the benefit of the Nigerian people.
Expressing confidence in Kyari’s competence based on his track record, the Association assured President Tinubu of Kyari’s ability to meet the set goals and expectations.
