20-year-old pleads guilty to stealing iron rods worth N257,000

The police on Wednesday arraigned a 20-year-old man, Musa Bashiru, before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, where he pleaded guilty to stealing iron rods worth N257,000.

Bashiru, whose address was not provided, was charged with theft.

The Magistrate, Mrs Olasinmibo Sanusi, adjourned the case till June 4 for a review of facts and judgment, subsequently.

The Prosecutor, ASP Olagoke Adegbenro, said that the defendant committed the offence on May 29 at about 11.00 a.m. at Oluyole area of Ibadan.

He said that the defendant stole 25 full length of iron rods worth N257,000, belonging to Green Pasture Farms, Oluyole, Ibadan.

The offence, according to him, contravene Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
