Actress Damilola Adegbite has spoken about the growing attention older women are receiving from younger men, noting how societal perceptions about women and age appear to be changing.
According to her, there was a time when women who reached their late 30s and 40s were made to feel they had passed their dating prime and should quietly withdraw from the dating scene, while younger women were considered the preferred choice.
However, she believes the narrative is changing, with older women increasingly attracting younger men who are confident enough to express their interest openly.
Drawing inspiration from Psalm 118:22, which speaks about the rejected stone becoming the cornerstone, Adegbite described the once-overlooked older woman as the new premium package.
She further explained that a younger man could approach a 38, 40 or 42-year-old woman and boldly declare his interest, leaving her surprised and wondering whether he was serious.
She noted that such men would confidently reaffirm their intentions rather than back down, adding that their boldness is particularly attractive.
