Why I Returned $10,000 Found in Aircraft — Airport Cleaner Opens up

Auwalu Ahmed Dankade, an employee of a handling company at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, has disclosed reasons for returning  $10,000 found while cleaning an aircraft.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) had earlier reported that Dankode, a worker at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, discovered $10,000, which was about N16m, while cleaning the aircraft.

According to Zagazola Makaman, a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, in a post on the X platform on Wednesday, Dankode had discovered the cash and immediately reported the incident to the airline company’s manager, initiating a search for the rightful owner.

Speaking, Dankade stated that his motivation for returning the money was to please Allah.

Dankade  said, “I have been trained not to take what does not belong to me. Anything you take unlawfully, you will be held accountable for in the hereafter.

“My parents taught us to be content with whatever we have, and this upbringing made it easy for me to return the money.”

Following his exemplary conduct, Dankade would be invited to Lagos by his employers on Friday, likely to receive a reward for his honesty.
