The University of Abuja’s Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education (CDL&CE) and Edutech Global have announced a strategic partnership aimed at expanding access to quality higher education while accelerating digital innovation across Nigeria’s education sector.
The partnership, unveiled during a joint press conference at the Vibrarium Valley, Edutech’s head office in Lagos, brings together one of Nigeria’s leading federal universities and one of Africa’s foremost education technology companies in a collaboration focused on learner success, institutional efficiency and national human capital development.
Leading the University of Abuja delegation was the Director of CDL&CE, Prof. Uche Anaduaka, while the Edutech delegation was led by Mr. Bunmi Akinyemiju, Group Chief Executive Officer of Venture Garden Group (VGG), alongside Mr. Femi Shonubi, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of EDUTECH Global.
Speaking during the announcement, Prof. Anaduaka said the partnership represents a significant step in the University’s ambition to make quality education more accessible through technology while maintaining the institution’s high academic standards.
Mr. Bunmi Akinyemiju noted that the collaboration demonstrates the power of strategic partnerships between higher education institutions and indigenous technology companies.
