Tinubu Meets G5 Members In Aso Rock Villa

Members of G5, otherwise known as Integrity Group, yesterday stormed the Aso Vill, Abuja to confer with President Bola Tinubu on the state of the nation.

Led by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains – former Governor Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Sam Ortom (Benue), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia) and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) – said they came to tell the president about their avowed commitment to fairness, justice and equity.

Their visit was traded by that of Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, who reiterated his readiness to work with the president in the interest of his state.

G5, which is believed to be friendly with President Tinubu, contributed to his victory in the February 25 poll.

According to observers, the governor and former governors may take advantage of their cordial relationship with the President to further their personal political fortunes as well as those of their various states.

Makinde and Wike have visited the Villa twice between last week and today.
