THE presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has reacted to the meeting between former President Olusegun Obasanjo; presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi; Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State; Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue; Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and others in London.
In his reaction, Sowore described Obasanjo, Wike, Obi and others at the meeting as special citizens, who he said earn ‘maximum wage’.
According to Sowore, the politicians were meeting in London to decide the future of the ordinary citizens, saying their wages are more than those of Nigerian workers in 10 states.
Sowore maintained that the cost of their private jets to London is more than the education budget of some states in a year.
“We can’t continue like this,” he said in a hash tag.
His words: “These are the special citizens of Nigeria earning maximum wage! The wages of these few privileged rulers meeting in London to decide your “future” is way more than those of Nigerian workers in 10 states of the federation in one month. In fact, their cost of private jet transportation to the UK is more than the education budget of some states in a year! #WeCantContinueLikeThis.”
