The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation has mourned the death of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, former Governor of Kogi.
The foundation also described Idris, a former member of its Board of Trustees (BOT), as a committed public servant.
This is contained in a condolence message signed by Abubakar Gambo-Umar, Director-General of the foundation.
Gambo-Umar said the foundation extended its heartfelt condolences to Idris’ family, the Kogi Government and its people, and others mourning his death.
He said the foundation honoured Idris’ memory and recognised his contributions to public service and his valued service to the organisation.
The director-general prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
Gambo-Umar also prayed for strength and fortitude for Idris’ family, colleagues and loved ones to bear the loss.
“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give his family, colleagues and loved ones the strength and fortitude to bear the loss,” he prayed.
