THE Group Chief Executive of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari has said though the loss of her daughter Fatima was a great one, she left the world at the time appointed for her.
Fatima, 25, passed away last Friday.
Kyari said her passing united a large number of people and showed that regardless of socioeconomic status, it is possible to show compassion for others.
He expressed gratitude to the innumerable people who joined in praying for her soul’s rest and comfort.
He said, “My daughter Fatima departed at her appointed time and looking forward to meeting her in Jannah by Allah’s grace. While the loss is great by all measures, we remain grateful to God for all his mercies.

“I didn’t know the depth of her connections with many people and what she meant to many. Despite her physical challenges, she is able touch hearts in very soothing ways, including me.
“Above all, her demise brought many people together and demonstrated that we all can care for others irrespective of our social circumstances.
“I profoundly thank our leaders, family members, friends, associates, colleagues, our teachers and the countless unmentioned that joined us to pray for the repose of her soul and for consoling us,” the NNPCL boss stated.
