President Tinubu Spends $1million On Lawyers As He Moves To Block FBI From Releasing His Confidential Records

PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has spent over $1million to hire lawyes in the U.S who will block the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Central Intelligence Agency and other United States services from releasing his criminal records.

The Peoples Gazette’s report says Mr Tinubu’s lawyers in the U.S. filed motions yesterday to appear in an ongoing freedom of information action brought against the FBI and other US organizations.

“Pursuant to Civil Local Rule 83.2(c), Bryan A. Carey moves for the admission and appearance of attorney Christopher Carmichael pro hac vice in the above-entitled action.

“This motion is supported by the Declaration of Christopher Carmichael. As set forth in Mr. Carmichael’s declaration, he is admitted and an active member in good standing,” Mr Carey, who practices in D.C. said in a document cited by Gazette.

Tinubu’s moves comes a month after the FBI had agreed to turn over 2,500 pages of response information on him.

The President was previously investigated for narcotics trafficking in the U.S. in the 1990s, during which he was compelled to forfeit $460,000 via a federal court order in Chicago.

Reacting, former President Goodluck Jonathan’s ex-aide, Jackson Ude, revealed that the President has spent up to a million dollars in the case.

He said: “So far, Bola Tinubu has spent nearly $1million on lawyers in his failed attempt to stop the release of his fraudulent credentials at the Chicago State University and the attempt to stop FBI, CIA, DEA and others from releasing his criminal records in the U.S!”

Baron Chymaker also commented. “He said: “The lawyer is busy milking him and that was exactly what he did in Chicago which failed but he was paid nonetheless.

“The amount of money he would be paid for this frivolous application that is dead on arrival will shock everyone and as usual, wasted money.”
