President Muhamadu Buhari – Come And Beat Me

MR Buhari has been an unmitigated disaster in public service. From the N2.8billion missing oil money of the 70s down to the eight year misrule which created a template for the most ineffective , nepotistic and ethno driven type rule IN Africa.

Buhari has elevated ignorance in governance to a serious type of artform. From his idiotic claim of ignorance to the assertive confirmation of a lack of knowledge of the whereabouts of his Army chief in the face of a terrorist onslaught, Nigerians allowed themselves to be saddled with a near Muppet like effigy of a leader.

You will wonder at my anger this morning. It is that NTA news interview he just granted. Of course, I wasn’t going to watch it and I am sure a lot more people would not have watched it but the clips from that ever so boring engagement that assaulted our sensibilities kept gnawing at us.

The arrogance and non challance which overshadowed his 8 years and was vividly captured by his official photographer in that picture of him with the toothpick after most likely a good meal was all over this clip.

The obviously tele guided presenter had asked him about corruption – his favourite theme and he let out a huge moronic laughter and said something like it’s Nigerians problems or something along those lines.

I wonder why or who was he was laughing at. Laughing at us for forcing on us the most idiotic regime ever. A regime that pushed millions more into poverty, a regime that destroyed the fabric of the society entrenching nepotism and widening the gulf of ethniticm even beyond civil war times.

What exactly was Mr Buhari laughing at, I ask again. The 20m unemployed people he left behind, the bankrupt state, the destruction of the Naira, the destruction of the judiciary or the weakening of institutions and the massive annihilation of the democratic process?

Was that what he was laughing at? Exactly two days after it was announced that we were bankrupt? This insensitivity can be very annoying and to add salt to the injury, he is quoted as saying that he did not miss the Presidency.

It is at this point that Nigerians should stand up and say Never again. Never again should we allow ourselves to be ruled by such incompetence. Never again should we allow ourselves to be led by such enigmatic arrogant ignorance.

We are a proud and rich people why then should we allow barely literate figures pull us by the nose and now come after to laugh at us.

It is also at this point that I must say albeit very reluctantly that I pity President Tinubu. He had been handed five fingers of a leorous nation. May be that is why Buhari is laughing.

The booby trap he set for his successor seems to be swallowing up Tinubu and that is why he must have come out on NTA to laugh.

We must not let Buhari have the last laugh. That his laughter have drawn me towards Tinubu. It has made me say to Nigerians, Buhari cannot have the last laugh, Tinubu must succeed if for nothing else so that we can all go to Daura to laugh back at him.

All hands must be on deck to support Tinubu. We must forget our differences and Tinubu must begin to act like a statesman and pull us all together so we can fight for this Nation.

That moronic laughter is a challenge to our State, a poke at our collective behinds and a dare to see if we can rise. We will and should rise against the buffoonery of Mr Buhari because we simply can.

Mr Buhari and his Ilk should never be allowed to come near any seat of Government at all levels of governance ever again in this history of this nation and if he doesn’t like what I have just said, he can come and beat me.

Thank you

Duke of Shomolu
