Acting on credible intelligence, the team stormed kidnappers’ camps in Gidan Dogo and Kweti Forest, located on the Kaduna State border with the FCT.
During the operation, which commenced around 10:00 am, four suspects were apprehended: Yahaya Abubakar, 25, of Mpape; Mohammed Mohamed, 32, an ex-convict from Zuba; Umar Aliyu, 20; and Nura Abdullahi, 32, another ex-convict from Kubwa and Zuba Hills.
According to FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the suspects confessed to being part of the notorious ‘Mai One Million’ bandit syndicate, known for numerous kidnappings and other crimes in the FCT and surrounding areas.
