The Imo Police Command says it has begun a manhunt for the killers of a retired military officer and Gov. Hope Uzodimma’s kinsman, Mr Tony Enoch.
Enoch was the Presidential Campaign Council Chairman for the Ahmed Bola Tinubu/Kashim Shettima election in Uzodimma’s Oru East Local Government Area (LGA).
He was gruesomely murdered by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in the state.
Confirming the incident, the command’s Spokesman, ASP Henry Okoye, said the deceased was shot dead on Tuesday, while returning home from APC stakeholders’ meeting in Omuma area of the LGA.
It is true, he was shot dead by miscreants suspected to be members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), the armed group of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
