
The police command in Anambra says it has arrested a wanted robbery suspect in Abagana in Njikoka Local Government of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday in Awka.
“Operatives of the Anambra Police Command attached to Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu have arrested a wanted a 34-year-old suspect (names withheld) in Abagana.
“The suspect arrested on Sept. 20 has been on the police wanted list for (alleged) involvement in armed robbery,” he said.
Ikenga said that during the arrest, one Magnum Pump Action gun, along with 12 live cartridges, were recovered from him.
The police spokesman said that the suspect was currently in custody undergoing interrogation and would be charged in court upon conclusion of investigations.
