PDP fixes national convention to November, picks Ibadan as new venue

THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rescheduled its National Elective Convention, originally slated for August, to November 15 and 16, 2025.

It is now to be held in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

This decision was disclosed by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, during a press briefing held on Thursday in Abuja, at the party’s 101st National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

The upcoming convention is crucial, as it will witness the election of a new National Working Committee (NWC) to lead the party through the next four years.

Ologunagba further said that the NEC had approved the membership of both the National Convention Committee and the Zoning Committee, tasking them with ensuring a transparent, credible, and inclusive process, ahead of the event.

The venue initially agreed to was Kano, and the original date was August.
