Pastor Adeboye Gets New Appointment, Speaks on Unity

PASTOR Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has been appointed as the patron of the Ecumenical Synod of Bishops, Archbishops, and Senior Clergy Inc. (ESBAASC).

Adeboye’s appointment was disclosed at a ESBAASc conference which took place at the Emmanuel Park, RCCG Redemption Camp between August 22 and 25.

Themed, “Religious Tolerance in Nigeria and Across the Nations of the World”, the conference highlighted the need for religious tolerance in Nigeria and the globe.

Speaking at the conference, Adeboye who was represented by Pastor Joseph Obayemi, the RCCG National Overseer Emeritus said Nigeria is going through challenging times.

The cleric also decried the current state of the nation compared to what was obtainable in the past.

Further reflecting on his life as a young person, Adeboye said religious tolerance is key to a nation’s development, peace and unity.

He said, “It is also a practice that helps to promote mutual understanding, peaceful co-existence, unity and peace among people of diverse cultures like Nigeria and the world.”
