Ogun State Governor Suspends Campaign Over Naira Notes, Fuel Scarcity

Dapo Abiodun

FOLLOWING the stinging naira and fuel scarcity, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has suspended his governorship campaign until further notice.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, the governor stated that due to the scarcity of fuel and new naira notes, he would be identifying with the plight of the Ogun people, emphasizing that steps had been taken to alleviate the people’s sufferings.

The governor stated that, as an administration sensitive to the people’s plight, election campaigns in the state would be halted until normalcy was restored to the people’s economic activities, urging the people to persevere because the current situation would improve very soon.

Abiodun reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to making people’s lives more meaningful, urging them to obtain Permanent Voters Cards and vote for all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates at the polls.
