OAU Management closes school after protests over Student’s death

The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has shut the institution, indefinitely as the University students protest over the death of a final year student of the Foreign Language Department, Aishat Adesina.

Information reveals that the student gave up the ghost at a private hospital in Ile-Ife, Osun state.

The protesting students alleged that Miss Adesina died as a result of negligence on the part of the institution’s health workers.

Multiple sources stated that she was rushed to the school’s medical facility on Thursday by her friends because she had earlier complained of shortness of breath to them.

On getting to the clinic, she was reportedly administered with malaria drugs and ulcer medication based on her complaints.

This, according to the students show the alleged negligent attitude of the health workers.
