Northwest University Sokoto releases cut-off marks for 2026/2027 admission

The Northwest University Sokoto (NWUS) has released the approved cut-off marks for admission into its various undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

This is contained in a statement signed by Malam Abdallah El-Kurebe, the Director of Communications, Public Affairs and Protocol of the institution, issued to newsmen in Sokoto on Friday.

El-Kurebe said the approved cut-off was released by the university’s Admissions Unit, noting that most programmes were fixed at 150, while professional and health-related courses attracted higher scores.

According to him, Medicine and Surgery have the highest cut-off of 200 among all programmes offered by the university.

He explained that Common and Islamic Law was fixed at 180, while Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing Science, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Public Health and Radiography were pegged at 160 each.

The director stated that programmes with 150 cut-off marks include Accounting, Biology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Economics, Information Technology, Library and Information Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Software Engineering and Special Education.

He advised prospective candidates to visit the university’s official platforms for further admission guidelines and updates.
