National Grid Collapses Again

NATIONAL electricity grid has yet again, collapsed, leading to a nationwide blackout.

Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) confirmed the blackout in a statement issued on Saturday.

AEDC said that the power outage was due to a system failure from the national grid.

It said, “Please be informed that the power outage being experienced is due to a system failure from the national grid at 3:10 pm today, affecting the power supply to our franchise areas.”

The DisCo said that it was working with relevant stakeholders to restore power as soon as the grid was stabilised.

Recall that the national electricity grid had on February 4, March 28, and April 14 collapsed, leaving the country in a blackout.
