The residents of the Lagos East Senatorial district are in for a good time as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the rescheduled Senatorial poll due to the #EndSars protest, Mr. Tokunbo Abiru has promised to bring further development to the zone.
In his campaign mantra, he proffered various strategies on how to make them come to reality.
Below is his agenda for the populace and the whole residents in Lagos state.

Knowing the prevalence of poverty and unemployment in the country, immediately I secure the people’s mandate to represent the Lagos East Senatorial District, I will set up a Foundation to address these age-long issues.
This Foundation will be funded from my personal resources and the goodwill as well as network that I have built in the private sector over the last three decades.
The beneficiaries will be the vulnerable members of the society such as the youth, women, people with special needs and the aged. This will be in addition to facilitation of sustainable opportunities for our young population to address unemployment and underemployment.
As you are aware, there is a lot of programmes the federal government has set up to empower our youths across the federation. I will work with the agencies implementing these programmes so that our youths in Lagos East get their fair share.
Considering my background in the corporate sector, I understand Lagos East should be the epicentre of economic activities in Lagos, therefore, we must improve our ease of doing business.
In this regard, I will facilitate bills and motions that will contribute to the ease of doing business in Nigeria and particularly Lagos, thereby opening-up opportunities for our youthful population.
I promise to represent my good people of the Lagos East and indeed our great party with commitment, integrity and passion by leveraging all the experience, competences, knowledge and relationships I have acquired in the last three decades as an economist, chartered accountant, commissioner for finance, senior banker and CEO. Welfare of my constituents will be my priority. When elected, I will also join hands with my distinguished colleagues in the Senate, as well as all members of the House of Representatives from the state to demand a special status for Lagos State.

This is indeed long overdue. Essentially, I will be preoccupied mainly with making policies that cater to the needs of my district and its people.
Mr. Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA. (“Tokunbo Abiru”)
APC Senatorial Candidate
Lagos East Senatorial District
