WHETHER the duty of conducting primary election to select a party’s candidate is that of National Executive Committee or National Working Committee of the party.
It is, true, however, that the duty of conducting primary election to select a party’s candidate, is that of National Executive Committee or National Working Committee of the party, which has to appoint a panel to handle the assignment. But in practice, the State Executive Committee of the party is expected to assist and normally works together with such National panel to realise the assignment as stated. See the case of Mbata v.
