Kwara Traditionalist, Tani Olohun Granted Bail After 69 Days In Custody

A well-known traditionalist in Kwara State, Abdullazeez Adegbola, also known as Tani Olohun, has been released on bail.

Newsextra24 reports that Magistrate Muhammed Ibrahim granted bail to Tani Olohun on Monday, sixty-nine days after the accused was remanded at the correctional facility in Oke-Kura, Ilorin.

Recall that the Isese worshipper was initially remanded on August 22, 2023.

During the hearing, Magistrate Ibrahim stated that bail was granted in the sum of N200,000, with two sureties required to provide the same sum. Additionally, one of the sureties must be a blood relative and reside within the jurisdiction of the court. Furthermore, Tani-Oloun is required to appear in court every two weeks, and a register will be maintained for him by the court registrar.

The court has adjourned the case until November 21, 2023.

Newsextra24 reports that Tani Olohun is standing trials before three separate magistrate courts over the alleged offence of defamation of some Islamic scholars in Ilorin.
