Jorginho Reveals Who Convinced Him To Join Arsenal

Arsenal’s new signing, Jorginho, has revealed that manager, Mikel Arteta was a big influence for him to join the Gunners from Chelsea.

Jorginho made a transfer deadline-day switch from Chelsea to Arsenal on Tuesday night.

The Italy international signed an 18-month contract with Arsenal, with an option to extend for a further year.

Speaking at his first press conference after signing for Arsenal, the 31-year-old was quoted by Arsenal’s official website as saying: “He [Mikel Arteta] was a big influence because I know that he tried a few times to get me. So, of course, he had a big influence [in me joining Arsenal].”

Jorginho is now in contention to make his debut for Arsenal this weekend when they face Everton in a Premier League tie.
