BODE George, a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party, expressed grave concern about the ongoing insecurity in Nigeria. He emphasized that the situation has spiraled out of control. George urged President Bola Tinubu to take decisive action, acknowledging that Nigerians are willing to give him the necessary time to address the challenges.

During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, George lamented the sorry state of the nation, citing widespread despair and hunger, and highlighting the escalating insecurity. He stressed the need for a non-partisan approach, urging unity to tackle the nation’s issues.
Referring to Tinubu’s New Year speech and objectives, George acknowledged the immense task ahead, particularly in areas of national defense, internal security, and job creation. Despite his criticisms of the previous administration, George urged Nigerians to give Tinubu an opportunity to demonstrate his capabilities, expressing hope for guidance for the president in addressing the nation’s challenges.
