Super Eagles Striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, has won the Scottish League with Celtic after his side defeated Hearts FC 3-1 to emerge Champions of Scotland for the 56th time.
With 79 points before the game final-day game against table topers Hearts FC, Celtic needed to take all three points to win the league and they did that with a dramatic comeback win.
Hearts FC scored in the 42nd minute when Shankland’s strike went beyond the Celtic goalkeeper to send the home fans into frenzy.
But Celtic levelled just before haft time through Engels’ well taken penalty.
Martin O’Neill’s men wrapped up the win with late goals from Meada and Osmand in the 86 and 97 minutes.
Former Leicester City Striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, came off the bench in the title-deciding game and almost found the back of the net but his effort hit the woodwork.
Iheanacho had brought Celtic’s title hope alive in the previous game against Motherwell where he scored a 97-minute penalty to give his side a 3-2 win, putting them just 1 point behind Hearts FC.
It is a first league title for Iheanacho after spells with Manchester City and Leicester City where he won the FA Cup and the EFL Championship titles.
