Heartland FC of Owerri players under lock and key in a hotel around MCC Uratta road Owerri North.
The players were prevented from leaving the hotel premises until the government pay for the player’s food and hotel room charges incurred while lodging in the hotel.
This incident happened on Saturday morning 23 April, 2022.
The hotel management said Heartland FC is owing them approximately N700,000 thousand Naira for the player’s food and hotel room charges. The hotel management also said that Heartland FC is also owing them another money for food and hotel rooms fees incurred by Heartland FC Queens of Owerri, over one million Naira few months ago.
The incident happened on Saturday morning 23 April, 2022 as the players were about leaving for their match against Wikki Tourist FC.
