GOC tasks troops of 3 brigade on Professionalism

The General Officer Commanding 1 Division, Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Abubakar Wase, has charged troops of 3 Brigade Kano, to be professional in discharging their constitutional duties.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations I Division, Nigerian Army, Lt-Col. Shu’aib Umar, on Thursday in Kaduna.

Umar quoted Wase, who doubled as Commander, Sector 1 Joint Task Force Operation Fansan Yamma as giving the charge during an operational visit to the 3 Brigade, Bukavu Barracks in Kano on Wednesday.

He said: “The GOC urged the troops to uphold principles of professionalism, force protection, shun non-military practices and embrace sound administration in line with the COAS Command Philosophy.”

The acting deputy director said the Commander 3 Brigade, Brig.-Gen. AM Tukur, briefed the GOC on activities of the command.

He added that the GOC also inaugurated a renovated Corporal and Below Quarters as part of COAS Intervention Projects, toured the Brigade’s Medical Centre and visited the 73 Battalion, Janguza Barracks among others.
