Firm Donates Classroom Furniture To FCT School

The atmosphere was brimming with excitement as Abumet Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of the esteemed engineering construction leader, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, demonstrated its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

In a generous act, Abumet donated desks and chairs to the students of Junior Secondary School in Aleyita, Lugbe, FCT, Abuja, aiming to support the local community where it operates.

She remarked, “The pupils’ overwhelming joy clearly demonstrates the significance of this donation to them. This is the first time we have received such support from an individual or organization during my tenure here.

“The donation will greatly enhance the learning environment for our children.

 

“I also extend my gratitude to Mr. Alexander Hausner for personally leading the delegation and making these donations.

 

“We appreciate Abumet and its entire management.”

 

Mrs. Tabitha Percy, the Vice Principal of the school, who was present at the event, commended Abumet’s commendable efforts, stating, “We sincerely appreciate Abumet for this remarkable act of kindness. This day will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you, Abumet. We are immensely grateful. God bless you.”

 

During the handover ceremony, Mr. Alexander Hausner, the General Manager of Abumet, addressed the school’s management and staff. He encouraged the students to make good use of the furniture and remain dedicated to their education.

Mr. Hausner expressed the company’s deep-rooted values, stating, “Abumet, as a subsidiary of Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, has a longstanding tradition of giving back to society, and today we continue that tradition.”

He added, “We are incredibly proud to support this donation, particularly when it comes to the well-being and development of children. As part of our commitment to the community, we select from orphanages and public schools to donate essential items that contribute to the students’ health, well-rounded development, and progress. We hope that these desks and chairs will create a conducive learning environment for the children in this school.”

 

The principal of the school, Ngozi Charity Odeke, expressed her heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging that this gesture marked a significant milestone for the school.
