The popular Nigerian “throuple” known as the Feral Throuple has ended after Jeffrey and Chidinma confirmed that they are no longer in a three-person relationship with Precious.
The couple made the announcement in a video shared on their social media page on Saturday, explaining that the relationship had simply evolved and that the separation was not caused by a scandal, fight or other dramatic incident.
“We are no longer in a three-person relationship. There is no scandal or dramatic story or reason behind it. It’s just simple; relationships evolve, relationships change. It’s really sad, but we all tried our best,” Chidinma said.
Jeffrey said he was surprised by the development, noting that he had expected the three of them to remain together.
“We really tried our best and I didn’t see this coming because we felt like we would be together forever, but it just didn’t work and we decided to move forward,” he said.
Despite the end of the relationship involving Precious, Jeffrey and Chidinma said they still believe in polyamory and polygyny and intend to continue their relationship.
Precious, who was previously referred to as the “spiritual wife” in the arrangement, while Chidinma was described as the legal wife, also reacted to the announcement.
After the couple announced that “the Feral Throuple is now Jeffrey and Chidinma,” Precious asked them to remove her content from their social media page.
“Please can you now kindly delete all my videos from the page thank you.”
Her reaction was followed by a number of cryptic posts, including one in which she wrote, “Sitting down to make a video is so funny but what do I know, everyone would be fine eventually,” and another captioned, “Becoming everything I needed for myself.”
The posts have prompted speculation among social media users about the circumstances surrounding the breakup, although Jeffrey and Chidinma said there was no scandal behind the decision.
Precious had also shared pictures and videos with cryptic captions in the weeks before the announcement, leading some followers to interpret them as possible signs that the relationship was under strain.
When some fans later asked her to share a “story time” about the breakup, Precious replied, “Lol, the person that sat down to make a video should do a story time, don’t you think?”
The Feral Throuple became known for openly sharing their unconventional relationship with social media followers after Jeffrey and Chidinma expanded their relationship to include Precious.
The latest development brings that three-person arrangement to an end, while Jeffrey and Chidinma have indicated that they will remain together and continue to uphold their views on non-monogamous relationships.
