Presidential candidate of Nigerian Rescue Movement (NRM) in February 25 election, Felix Osakwe, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu and Vice President, Kashim Shettima.
He described their emergence as the will of God. This was contained in a congratulatory message he signed in Abuja.
The letter reads: “It is with great honour and gratitude to God that I write to congratulate you on your inauguration as President and Vice President of our nation. Your victory in 2023 elections was well deserved and I am propitious that the nation of our dreams is here at last.
“Ironically, the journey to this great moment was not an easy one. Nigerians participated in one of the most competitive elections to elect leaders.
“Interestingly, on February 25, the people spoke in one voice, electing you as their preferred leaders to lead us towards national progress and prosperity.
As a candidate in the process, it is my belief it is God who appoints a king and it pleased him to choose whoever he wants out of the 18 of us that contested with you. I and my Vice, Alh Mohammed Fagge have long accepted your victory as the collective choice of the people and will of God.”
