Emir of Ilorin mourns Kogi governor’s father

Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari mourns Kogi Governor’s father, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo.

THE Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has expressed condolences to Gov. Usman Ododo of Kogi over the passing of his father, Alh. Ahmed Ododo.

Sulu-Gambari, who also chairs the Kwara Traditional Rulers Council, stressed that a father’s role in the lives of children cannot be underestimated.

The Emir stated this in a message issued on Tuesday by his spokesman, Dr Abdulazeez Arowona, describing Alhaji Ododo’s death as a painful experience.

He noted that the death was a monumental loss to the people of Kogi and humanity in general.

“I urge Governor Ododo and his siblings to take solace in the fact that their late father lived a worthy and exemplary life,” he said.

The Emir added that the late Alhaji Ododo left behind enduring legacies of integrity, honesty, and devotion to the service of Almighty Allah.

He extended condolences on behalf of the Kwara Traditional Rulers Council, and the government and people of Kogi  over the unfortunate loss.

Sulu-Gambari prayed Almighty Allah to accept his good deeds, forgive his shortcomings, and grant him eternal rest in Al-Janat ul-Firdaus.
