Eguavoen Admits Super Eagles’ Poor Performance Against Rwanda

Eguaveon

SUPER Eagles interim manager, Austin Eguavoen, has acknowledged his team’s lackluster performance following their home defeat to Rwanda.

Despite taking an early lead, the Nigerian team allowed the visitors to score two quick goals, resulting in a disappointing loss.

Eguavoen, a former Super Eagles captain and the current technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), expressed deep disappointment with the outcome.

“This result was not what we planned for. We scored and were pushing for a second goal, but quite against the run of play, we conceded. I tried to change the formation, but it didn’t work.”
