*Our Children have gone mad*
Me I have been holding back but the viral video where one obviously spoit brat was railing at our systen and using the obvious melancholy that is Nigeria as a platform to rail and show obviously bad behaviour got to me.
We have all been smiling and even been tickling ourselves at the rudeness of this generation of youths.
We laugh at their impetousness and say – these Gen Zsss are somethingelse.
When they show the highest level of selfishness, we laugh and say these generations are somethingelse.
The other day, my daughter chantal left portsmouth her school for Leicester without telling me.
She kept doing video calls with her mother and i stumbled on one of the sessions. I said, ‘ where are you and she said,’ you cant ask me, you didnt pay?
Her mother laughed. The same imbecilic laughter we older generations have been laughing at madness. Chantallll, you are too forward o she exclaimed in the middle of moronic laughter.
I grabbed the phone and told her very clearly. If you ever talk to me in that manner again, i will stop all financial supoort for you and u will find urself back here in shomolu selling bread idiot.
Now apologise or u will find me on d next plane there beating you up like there is no tomorrow.
I pay your effing school fees, pay rents for u and give u a living allowance and you talk to me in that manner? I will break your stupid head idiot. I shouted down the phone.
She called back at night to apologise and i warned her again and told her to get off my phone.
You see maybe because our generation was brought up in poverty or lack of exposure or whatever we want to call it, we condone rubbish in the name of modernity.
Otherwise why would that girl come out and rain insults on a whole older generation and her parents will be saying, ‘ these children, they are too forward o.
I have heard parents lament – these millenials and Genz are very selfish o. They dont even check up on you all they are interested are in themselves’
It is true. My son Joseph doesnt even say hi until its time for chop money and when he calls, its, ‘ Joe pls my money’. He gets it and thats that till next month.
My daughter Annette will only chat you when her data is finished and zara locks herself in the room for days on end without coming out to see if stroke has kiled her papa or not.
Who do we blame but ourselves. We are bringing up mutants who run around like headless chickens thinking that their generation is the best thing since Agege bread
If you look at it very clearly, how many of them are really ‘making’ it in real terms. So a tiny proportion are successful artists, coders, entreprenuers and the rest.
Well a larger number are hackers, sexual deviants and druggies.
These are our children and we are foolishly letting them run haywire.
Have you gone to NDLEA website and see the raveges of the drug epidemic or the growing numbers of HIV infection due to the loosening of societal boundaries used to cage youthful exuberance?
So this little fool comes out in abject scorn to rain abuses hiding under the canopy of a useless leadership and we give her a standing ovation?
We shd hide our heads in shame. Like in every other thing, we have failed our children by letting this go on for so long.
That video was rubbish and should trigger a societal reawakening to cage these brats otherwise we will wake up to see society taken over by these untrained zombies.
