THE Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, has described the death of Raymond Dokpesi – media entrepreneur and Founder of Daar Communication Plc – owner of Ray Power Radio and AIT, as a big loss to the Nigerian media industry and the country at large.
Diri stated this in a condolence message to the family, the management and staff of Daar Communication conveyed through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Daniel Alabrah, on Saturday.
Diri noted that Nigeria has lost a media pathfinder, passionate patriot, an unassuming bridge-builder, and consummate administrator.
The governor remarked further that the late Dokpesi left indelible marks in the broadcast media through his pioneering efforts as well as in politics.
