MASTER Precious Ogbeide, a 2018 graduate of Ambrose Ali University in Ekpoma, Edo State made an attempt on his life after the institution fragrantly refused to release his results for not gratifying them, five years after.
Master Precious stabbed himself on Monday this week with pieces of shattered glass after struggling with depression as a result of his withheld results over his inability to raise funds to bribe corrupt Ambrose Alli University(AAU) Management who are submerged in endemic graft.
Majority of the angry university community present and former students have also bemoaned their inability to obtain their degree results and transcripts from the corruption plagued institution in the last twenty years, after spending four or more years in the academic institution.
Exposing the decay in the institution, one of the old students told Trojan News Media Correspondent in Benin City that AAU is a cesspool of corruption.
“You are doing a great job sir. I applied for transcript in July 2022 till this date my transcript is not ready for collection because I refuse to give money”.
“To my greatest surprise, the request form was not attended to for nine (9)months in exams and records department because I refused to settle”.
“I have been going back and forth to make sure the transcript is produced without a kobo”, the former student told our reporter in Ekpoma.
Sources told our Correspondent that the student had been exhibiting symptoms of depression, while the family was making every effort to assist in stabillizing him as a result of the frustration from the inability of AAU Management to release his results.
