Government agencies, officials and private companies which were prevented from tweeting due to the Twitter ban that was imposed by the Federal Government on June 5th, 2020 have resumed tweeting after the ban was lifted at 12am on January 13th, 2022.
The Nigerian Broadcasting Commission had ordered TV and radio stations in Nigeria to stop tweeting and using Twitter to receive audience feedback and other regulatory organisations, like the Central Bank of Nigeria had also followed suit.
