Club Stopped Me From Signing Min-Jae Mourinho

AS Roma coach, Jose Mourinho has revealed that Premier League club, Tottenham Hotspur stopped him from signing Napoli defender, Kim Min-jae.

Mourinho was coach of Tottenham between 2019-2021 before leaving the London club for Roma.

According to him, Tottenham did not back him to sign Min-jae when the player was playing for Fenerbahçe.

The former Chelsea and Man United manager also described Min-jae as a top player.

This is coming before Roma’s Serie A 2-1 loss to Napoli on Sunday night.

“I wanted to sign Kim Min-jae when I was at Tottenham. I had some FaceTime calls with him — our bid was €5m, Fenerbahçe wanted €10m for Kim and for Tottenham that wasn’t possible at that point,” Mourinho was quoted by Fabrizio Romano as saying.

“Now look at Kim and his level, he’s a top player.”
