Chinese travel content creator Xiao Jony has shared a video of an uncomfortable encounter he reportedly had while exploring a market in Nigeria.
The content creator, who was trying out local food and drinks, was approached by some men who demanded that he give them money.
In the video, one of the men could be heard telling him to stop and insisting that he had to pay money, despite Xiao Jony questioning why.
“I’m a tourist. I pay the visa,” the Chinese creator said during the heated exchange.
The situation later became more confrontational, with insults exchanged between both parties.
Following the encounter, Xiao Jony advised tourists to be careful about their safety while visiting Nigeria and recommended going out during the daytime rather than at night.
He ended his video with a statement that has since sparked reactions online.
“Actually, it’s better not to come,” he said.
